Sky High School maintains a fleet of specialized buses for ferrying the students to school, and home again. The buses can drive along the street, and do not appear to be different than normal school buses. However, at the flip of a switch, wings unfold from under the chassis and rocket motors extend from the back of the bus and the wheel wells.
In flight, the buses can accelerate quickly to supersonic speeds, and are extremely maneuverable. When the buses convert to flight mode, they have lap bars and harnesses that automatically engage to hold the riders securely in their seats. No other special features are shown during the course of the movie.
The only Sky High bus driver shown in the movie, was Ron Wilson.
